Born in the province of Padova, Martina is a young and talented foil fencer and a member of the Italian National Fencing Team.
Despite her young age, Martina has already achieved prestigious results both individually and in team competitions. In 2023, together with three teammates, she became World Champion in the team event at the Milan World Championships, winning a bronze medal in the individual event just days before.
Her palmarès grew rapidly in subsequent years, with 2024 marking a key breakthrough. Displaying remarkable consistency, Martina triumphed at the Shanghai Grand Prix, achieving her third Absolute World Cup victory and confirming herself among the top fencers in the elite FIE GP circuit. That season concluded with five podiums in a single year—including victories in Cairo, silver in Turin, and bronze in Paris and Tbilisi. Martina also made her Olympic debut at Paris 2024, reaching the quarterfinals individually before helping Team Italy capture an Olympic silver medal.
The 2025 season saw her build on this momentum, starting with an individual victory at the Tunis World Cup, a team gold in Busan, and 12 career podiums, finishing the year ranked second in the official FIE world standings.
The 2026 season cemented Martina as the top figure in international fencing. Delivering a dominant campaign featuring World Cup victories in Istanbul, Cairo, and Palma de Mallorca, she reached the pinnacle of her sport at the 2026 World Fencing Championships in Hong Kong. Martina claimed her maiden individual World Championship title after a 15-7 victory in an all-Italian final, followed by another team World Championship title in the team event.
With these historic triumphs, she officially rose to World No. 1 in the FIE individual rankings, establishing herself as both World Champion and the premier women’s foil fencer in the world.
